Something New: Abortion Bans are Bad!

Just because this place is so quiet lately ;) I figured I'd throw this one into the mix: There are just as many illegal abortions worldwide as legal ones: 20 million apiece.

The obvious conclusion: If you're against abortion, banning it is not the answer.

As an aside, this also points to the idiocy of using (mucho) federal dollars on science: You get politicized science, which is just a shame.

I disagree AnEin. If I was in Europe I would be called a Christian Socialist or Christian Democrat. I oppose abortion because I do not believe that one human has the right to take the life of another. However, I could make possible exceptions-though it still makes me squeamish- in cases of rape or in extremely rare medical condidtions where mother and child would both perish if an abortion was not performed. With the exception of this exemption I am against partial birth procedures- and even though they are extremely rare- they need to be abolished because this procedure is truly barbaric and is akin to murder. Abortions in earlier trimesters should not be allowed if they are to kill a child conceived during a night of unprotected fun. Ladies look if you are going to **** and he is not wrapped up and you are not on a contraceptive then you should not blame that child for your stupid mistake as ****ing is primarily designed for procreation.

As for parental notification, except in cases of sexual abuse or molestation, parental notification should be given anytime a minor is having an abortion. Like I said I am extremely opposed to abortion, especially third trimester operations, except in cases of rape or conditions where both mother and child would die.

Whether you disagree or not doesn't really matter: Abortion bans do not stop abortions from happening. They just kill the potential mothers more often.

Abortions in earlier trimesters should not be allowed if they are to kill a child conceived during a night of unprotected fun.

Please to define how you'll ever be able to tell when this is true or not.
