the real crime is that pitt gets to pick as high as they do.

Talk about a serious problem, try Arizona! If they cannot find a trade partner, who in the world do they draft? They won't take Brady Quinn, and Calvin Johnson surely isn't a position of need (WR). Do they swallow hard and make Joe Thomas the 1st overall selection? WOW, they better win down the stretch or there will be BIG TROUBLE!!

Arizona could always trade with buffalo?

they should be able to find a trade partner. Unless they think they are going to get the same kind of deals that SD got for vick, and they got for manning. I don't think any team is going to pony up picks like that for johnson(best player) or quinn(maybe best qb, but I don't think so.)

arizona desperately needs to protect its investment in leinart and they would more than likely try to trade down, and if they weren't too greedy they could get the third pick and still get thomas, while adding perhaps a extra third, and second int he next draft.

There is just not one single player in this draft that warrants switching first's picking up an extra second, or third this year and an extra first plus at least a 4th next year.

Like I said I think they can pick up an extra second or third this year and second next year to move down 1 or 2 spots.

though looking at the order as it stands now they may have no choice but to stay at 1 and take thomas as he could be a hot commodity for miami and for detroit.

(1) Denver and Washington could flip-flop picks depending on how far they are apart to complete multi-player deal with Atlanta.

Players that might be available...

7. Quinn Pitcock Sr. DT Ohio St.
Great in the run game at taking up space.
8. Kenny Irons Sr. RB Auburn
Very strong for his size; missed time with injuries.
9. Marcus Thomas Sr. DT Florida
Quick as a cat and very athletic interior lineman.
10. Drew Stanton Sr. QB Michigan St.
Has all the intangibles you want in a QB.
11. Levi Brown Sr. OT Penn St.
Reliable at protecting his QB's blind side.
12. Ray McDonald Sr. DE Florida
Versatile player who has remained healthy.
13. Joe Staley Sr. LT Central Michigan
Former TE who has great footwork and athleticism.
14. Buster Davis Sr. LB Florida State
Rock-solid player who is a shorter version of Ray Lewis.
15. Marcus McCauley Sr. CB Fresno St.
Great speed (4.33 40) with solid coverage skills.
16. Quentin Moses Sr. DE Georgia
Explosive pass rusher coming off the edge.
17. DeMarcus Tyler Sr. DT NC State
A quick and powerful player who's on the rise.

(according to Kiper's big board)

Doesn't it seem strange that the lowest 12 teams have played such tough schedules so far and the top 3 teams have played ridiculously weak schedules

Pittsburgh won the SB and have a combined opponents W-L% of .522, while the Bills were 5-11 and there opponents so far have a combined .544%.

Pitcock has WAY to many questionmarks for me to play on Sunday.... you take a difference maker for the DL at this point, not another guy in the rotation.

There is no reason for draft talk until Justin Blaylock is off the board. The Bills will draft Blaylock.

which is why we need to draft reggie nelson and have him play the third safety in our new 3 safety alignment

So Troy Smith is going #7

In the 2nd rd. maybe. He only stands about 5'11', and yes I know he's listed at 6'1". They were talking about him on the pregames Sunday. The best thing for him would be for Brohm to stay in school. Right now he is probably the fourth qb off the board behind Quinn, Russell, and Brohm.

Yet he's a better QB than all of them .

Drew Brees is the same height as Troy Smith.

Every team that passes on him will regret it.

There is no way that the Clevland Browns don't draft him IMO....which means that the Cleveland Browns will probably be better than the Bills next year.

I hope the Browns do take him, it will allow another player to drop to the Bills. Drew Stanton may also go before him.
But if he has a big game on Jan 8th, it only takes one team to fall for him.

Which is why NFL GM's consistantly prove that they are retarded.

They draft a body and a frame....not a skill set, attitude, and mind.

Winners are winners......

When Smith has another lights out performance in the Championship game he'll be a lock for the top 10..... the only QB that might go ahead of him would be Brady Quinn.

Im not the only one who thinks this... I think hes taleneted but just because you do good on the college level does not mean your going to be a great pro. He played with great Oline, wide outs, and RBs his whole college carrer he wont have that level of comparable talent to work with in the NFL.

OSU is a very run and gun type of team. That is a system.

No way Troy Smith goes in the top ten , i be willing to bet this in a sec.

I see Smith going in the 1st round but no way does a team risk a top 10 pick on him. There is too much talent available so I see him falling into the 20's or early 2nd round.
