Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., speaking to a gathering of gay and lesbian groups, said she has "certainly evolved on gay issues,” but fell short of enthusiastically supporting ‘gay marriage’ in New York.

I love how she says "My position is consistent. I support states making the decision," when has Hillary ever been consistent on an issue? Hillary will say and do anything to gain support from anyone who will give it to her.

She doesn't support the states on crap.

She's a one size fits all type.

do you really think hillary is any more of a panderer than other politicians? i dont

i mean they all are. they have to be. 'we' the voting public punish politicians that dont pander to some degree, so we get what we elect

i would like her to be more firm on some issues and in fact she lost my top spot to mccain at this point for just that reason, too many passes when she should have made a statement and a couple times when she should have just shut up. he gave some of that ground back when he kissed the wingnut evangelicals ass a while back but the point is they all have to do it because we wont elect them otherwise

the reason i like both of them is when they do articulate a position its a quality position. and both have elements of moderation that crosses typical blind partisan lines

when i listen to both of them theres a lot of wisdom in what they say. it is astonishing to me we would rather throw empty partisan stones than listen to smart and talented people doing some thinking

we have become a nation totally obsessed with image and completely disinterested in language

thats what happens to empires though. too much prosperity and you start creating phantom demons. eventually it takes you down. always does. case in point

I am a pro-life, pro-family fiscal conservative, an advocate of a strong defense, and yet Pat Robertson, Jerry Falwell and a few Washington leaders of the pro-life movement call me an unacceptable presidential candidate. They distort my pro- life positions and smear the reputations of my supporters.

Why? Because I don't pander to them, because I don't ascribe to their failed philosophy that money is our message. I believe in the cause of conservative reform. I believe that because we are right we will prevail in the battle of ideas, unspoiled by the taint of a corrupt campaign finance scheme that works against the very conservative reform of government that is the object of our labors. The Republican Party will prevail...

"AIDS is the wrath of a just God against homosexuals. To oppose it would be like an Israelite jumping in the Red Sea to save one of Pharaoh’s charioteers . . . AIDS is not just God’s punishment for homosexuals; it is God’s punishment for the society that tolerates homosexuals."

Syphillis?

No that's what Bill is lucky not to have. The other one is a Democratic governor of a Republican state. Namely KS.
