With Tallinder likely out for a bit, Do the Sabres make a call up for a 7th D-man? Who do you think it will be? Sekera only played a game or two in Roch., But Card and Funk have played in all of them.

Who will be the 1st foward called up? A few fowards are banged up right now and you never know, TC won't be ready for a long while. Most likely choices are: Paille, Stafford, Ryan, and MacArthur. Zags has only played in a game or two so i'm sure he isn't near ready!!

What do you think??

Just to let you know it prolly wont be Paille. Cunneyworth and Ruff are REALLY close and Paille has sucked and shown NO effort since game 2 of the season. MacArthur might be one, but also hasnt shown the needed effort. Prolly not Ryan because he would have to clear waivers to go back down when needed. Sekera played one game but sat out last game with the same nagging injury so he cant. Zags isnt even close to ready. Mancari is playing defense for Rochester due to injuries and Semenov leaving the team and he has experience both ways. Stafford impressed Ruff a TON in camp so its prolly gonna be him. And defense its prolly gonna be Mancari IF needed because Card and Funk need alot more time and are quite green, so Mancari will play both ways offense and defense extra man.

MillerRocks, sorry but see my post, watched the games, gotta disagree with his pooras effort. It will prolly be Mancari because he can play offense and defense and Stafford would prolly be the other choice though he is still in need of much experience.

So prolly Mancari, unless he has to clear to go back down, if not him prolly Stafford, and if not him on defense prolly Sekera thinking he will be back from injury. Though he didnt impress in his only game either.

I'd go with drew stafford myself, but really not sure about another D-man...No one really sticks out so far!!

Because the Sabres are up against the salary cap limit I think their options are few.

Once someone gets called up they start to receive an NHL salary.

The Sabres might be forced to put Connolly on a years IR and try to get the league to exempt his salary for this year (like the Devils did with Mogilny), to open up some breathing room.
