I meant Paetsch, sorry

Roy will play with Minor hip flexor/groin problem. Hecht will play with a full cage to guard lip/mouth, is missing teeth.

Tallinder they speculated that it was from a high stick from Hunter but on the bnech on my DVR he was holding his arm in pain, though did finish the game.

I look forward to Paetsch getting some playing time its just to bad Tallinders out, hope the injury has nothing to do with his broken arm from last year. In the Islander game right after the high stick he was driven into the boards pretty good, I dont remember by who but thats when they were showing him on the bench all crumbled over

Nate is a great PP QB and loves to hit so we will prolly see him on the PP alot, and maybe throw a couple checks.

****!, nvm now a report from the same link says that he might have re-broken his arm, SOB! Injuries happen to everyone, now we are just gonna have to prove to win with them again, nothing we can do.

UPDATE: LGS.com has just learned what could be some very bad news. It is believed that Tallinder has re-aggrevated his broken arm from last playoffs, to the extent of possibly re-breaking it. We will keep you posted as soon as we hear more. The injury occured when Tallinder took a high hit while making a D-to-D pass against the Islanders. We will look at our recording of the game and find the exact time shortly.

I agree!

But let his sit for this game, and let him rest up until our next game on the 2nd.

I'll believe it when it's on Sabres.com or on WGR or something, or he just doesn't play

UPDATE: 4:45 PM — Nathan Paetsch will make his season debut tonight for the Buffalo Sabres as Henrik Tallinder will sit out with a reported upper body injury, an injury that LGS.com has learned could possibly be a re-fractured arm. It is believed that Tallinder re-aggravated his left forearm — which he broke during last season's Conference Finals — to the extent of possibly fracturing it again.

We stress possibly because the Sabres have yet to confirm the extent of the injury. At mid-afternoon today, LGS.com spoke with a source who seen Tallinder at the Arena this morning favoring his arm but said the defenseman meerly shrugged it off as a bad bruise.

The injury occurred when Tallinder took a hard, straight-on hit from Trent Hunter with 1:58 remaining in the first period of Thursday's game against the Islanders. Tallinder was being chased behind the Buffalo net by Miroslav Satan when Hunter came in to lay a hard hit on Tallinder. The impact broke the Buffalo defenseman's stick and you could see his left forearm — which he used to brace for the hit — waving by his side seconds later. Shortly after, Tallinder was seen on the bench favoring his left arm. Remarkably, he finished the game, assisting on Maxim Afinogenov's second period goal.

Buffalo does have some good news on the injury front as Derek Roy and Jochen Hecht are both ready to go. Hecht will most likely sport a full shield tonight after taking a nasty cut under his lip that caused him to lose some flesh and teeth. Roy was suffering what appeared to be a minor groin or hip flexor injury.

Buffalo attempts to break the NHL record tonight for consecutive wins to start a season. The game will be televised on MSG locally and has also been added by HDNet.

I highly doubt it's broken because he came back to the game Thursday

Thanks for the info! Sad about Henrik, but I am looking forward to seeing nathan, and I'm sure he'll be happier about it saince he's had to sit up in the press box this entire time.

I am hoping Roy and Hecht will both be fine and not lose a step in tonight's game, if that is the case, I think we'll be fine.
