Let's not forget that before the playoffs began, the Tigers also came in playing like crap. But they, and the Cards, threw the switch and got to the WS.

**** that they knocked out a very good tigers team in 5 games. They beat an excellent Mets team before that and prior to that they beat the Padres. This team looked doomed late in the season but when they had to they came together and started winning. A good lesson for the Royals on how its done in the MLB.

Sure did and IMHO this was a very good post season. Would've liked a seven game series but the post season was good enough.

Guy you just keep pouting this winter. I'll still be celebrating a championship.

The Cardinals didn't win the World Series. It was handed to them by the Tigers.

The only thing "given" to the Cardinals was the World Series trophy from Bud Selig!!!!

And tomorrow we are being "given" a parade in the 'Lou.

WHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOo!!!!

BF, I hope the Mets and Cards meet in the NLCS again next year. We will definitely not lose to them again.

Doesn't matter to me. We have our championship. You are the one still waiting.

Bullshit, the Cards played and dominated. Go Cards. Now when the Royals stop being managed like a walmart then we'll have a series.

Phantom, apparently you forgot to watch the World Series. The Tigers threw this series away. They gave up 8 unearned runs. 8. That's alot in 5 games.

Guy baseball is a simple game. The team that plays the best wins. The Cardinals played better than the Tigers. They won. They played better than the Mets. They won. They played better than the Padres. They won.

Coming clear yet? You play the best and you win.

When a team makes a ton of errors like the Tigers did, you lose. Most of those errors were simple throwing errors by the pitchers.

Cards didn't play better; they just didn't play as bad.

Whatever you want to call it. I should expect this from a fan of such a terrible organization as the Mets.

How many titles you got again? 2? When was your last one? 1986? Damn that's about 8 and 20 years short. Enjoy another long cold winter pouting in Flushing.

Guy Incognito

The way the Tigers played in that World Series, half the teams in the NL would've beat them. The Cardinals just happen to be that team that faced them.

Gibby
October 30th, 2006, 9:12:52 PM
yeah after beating the Padres and Mets and pulling together and clicking on all cylinders at the right time.

BF_in_Indiana
October 30th, 2006, 9:37:55 PM
And you just wish your team was the one that happened to play them.

UNFORTUNATELY we whipped your asses the week before.

Whipped? What are you talking about? You scratched out a game 7 win. If we had all our pitchers, the Cards would've been eliminated, but they got lucky.

No, you also forgot that if Norwood's kick would have been just 5.5 feet to the left the Bills would have a world championship and if horses could fly beggars would ride. :D
