You gotta love Jochen. You never hear much out of him, but his value is huge to the Sabres.

Ruff:
"We anticipate Jochen playing [tomorrow], very sore . . . He lost flesh and i think he did lose some teeth, but he should be able to play"

"Both [Roy and Tallinder] have a possibility of not playing . . . We may lose one of them tomorrow, and we may have all 3."

Don't bring race into this tool. Jochen doesn't deserve this criticism. He is a two-way forward, the guy is not a bum.

He is a good two way player but as pommer has shown he can replace dumont with efficiency, I'm sure a guy down at Roch could replace Hecht's role. The injury bug he seems to get each year I think has to do with his tenacity and fearlessness in the front of the net and along the walls. He's a good player but we might have a chance to see if we have something better by resting him

Hecht is a very good two-way player, though I agree he's been a little disappointing this year. His biggest problem is that he is made of paper, and can't stay healthy, which brings me to another point. Remember the guy injured both his knees last year. That is probably still having a lingering effect on him.
