Hey guys,

ok i said at the start of the year that anything less than a stanley cup birth would be a dissapointment. F-That. This team is incredible, they are the best team i have seen in years. the best team i ever saw was the wings of the late 90's and this team is right up there. Anything less than the cup will be a failure. Remember, this is coming from a leaf fan, but i love this team. They are awesome!

i agree. We are in for an amazing season. I just hope people realize that there will be losing streaks and rough patches. When that happens lets all try not to freak out :)

You're right, this team is that good. It's scary to think that even when the played so so, like last night, they still win 3-0.

It's great feeling to have. I've been a Sabres fan all my life and I have never been able to say: The Sabres are the best team in hockey.

It's a long year, but this could finally be our year...

totally agree, if they got knocked out in say the second round it was would be considered a disaster. The sabres right now are turning into the Yankees of hockey, become the champs or bust. you guys must love it.

unfortunately it's like that here in Toronto but our team is nowhere neat that level. Yet... haha

It's really weird, I don't even get excited by a win anymore.

I agree the Sabres have as much talent as any team in a long time. However, a great deal of the game of hockey is mental. The team will hit some rough spots this season. How they handle thouse rough spots will to a great extent give an indication of whether or not they have what it takes to with the cup. I like to think that they have plenty of mental toughness, but ultimately you can't really tell until they face some adversity.

I'm anxious to see how this team responds to their first loss (knock on wood) I think the following game or two afterwards will speak volumes about the character of this team.

It's nice to have a comfortable winning season for once. Go Sabres!

The best thing about this Sabres squad is there mental toughness. Drury is a very determined fellow and the team just follows his lead. It is helpful that Miller is incredibly focused and keeps to himself as well b/c that just keeps the guys playing in front of him focused as well. I think this team will respond very well to losses!

That doesn't mean, however, that they won't lose a 2 or 3 games in a row a couple times this season. Sometimes your legs just aren't working right, the bounces don't go your way, the chemistry just isn't there, etc. We should only grow concerned if they stop playing hard.
